Atty. Jimmy Soriano is the public lead of Creative Commons Philippines. He is also the Executive Director of the Information Technology Center (ITC) and e-Law Center of the Arellano University School of Law (AUSL), which is the affiliated institution for Creative Commons in the Philippines. Atty. Soriano is currently on medical leave, initially covering six months, after he was rushed to the hospital on 30 April 2011 and again on 1 July 2011. Atty. Michael Vernon “Berne” Guerrero was tasked by the Arellano Law Foundation, which manages AUSL, to assume Atty. Soriano’s functions relevant to the law school’s IT Center and e-Law Center, in an acting capacity, effective May 2011.
Reorganization is currently ongoing to delineate the tasks of personnel involved in Creative Commons Philippines, especially as to those of the law school’s IT Center and e-Law Center. This is deemed immediate so that projects may be pursued more efficiently and effectively.
Alberto Maria Lorenzo Sison de Jesus and Olga L. Gallardo, fellows of the e-Law Center, are now tasked exclusively to the development of the LawPhil Project in coordination with the IT Center of the law school. Nina Katrina Gumabay, designated president of the IT Law Society, which is the student arm of the e-Law Center, joins as volunteer coordinator for matters relevant to Creative Commons Philippines.
